Long Time NW Gold Cup Coordinator Marilyn Lehmann Passed Away

Posted: Apr 22, 2015

It is with deep sorrow to report Marilyn Lehmann long time IKF NW Gold Cup Coordinator had passed away Monday Morning April 20 2015. The lives she touched will forever remember her for her love of the sport and her tenacity for things that threatened the sport she loved so much. She was a champion for the Northwest and made many sacrifices to keep this region strong. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers. We will always remember her for the kindness she showed also her spunk to keep things squared away. Marilyn who was one to be involved with karting in many capacities for more than 40 years had a huge adopted karting family. She was the regional coordinator for this region for many years, words can’t express the gratitude we feel for her and for her beloved husband Jack Many of today’s senior racers and their families remember Marilyn as their karting grandma. She was always there with cookies and popsicles for all of the junior drivers at the end of the race day with words of encouragement and helpful suggestions to be better driver and person.

Services for Marilyn are pending. There is a facebook page dedicated to Marilyn with memorials and information.
