The Spokane Kart Racing Association has been working on the Club’s Sprint track this spring to remove the bumps that have been the result of winter freezes at the pavement seams. Dan Lane SKRA president said the continual seasonal changes over the years had made the track almost undriveable.
The Club membership worked over this past winter and spring cutting and removing the bad portions of the track and replacing with cement similar to the style that crews do to the interstate roads when the seams become unsafe. The enclosed pictures show some the work done. The Club had run a couple of races this season and is very happy with the results. Times on the track have improved and the improvements provided for better control and handling while on the racing surface.
Several of the Club members were on hand at Round 3-4 MG Tires IKF Region 6 Gold Cup Sprint Race, hosted by PSRRA at the Mountain high Raceway, who brought the great news of the Spokane track improvements and to encourage everyone to come race, and enjoy the Holiday weekend the Spokane Kart Racing Association.
